The Robbins House UNTOLD STORIES

2020

CONCORD, MA

Reawakening History

An ongoing, evergreen exhibit laboratory showcases the untold stories of early black communities in historic Concord.

The slatted walls and shelves keep materials available and easily updated. As tours take place the guides can use this open storage system to pull pertinent information and up to date research and hand it around to the tour group for closer inspection. In comparison a visitor who chooses to meander through the house can self curate from the same collection.

The informational graphics were done by the extraordinary Lorell Gifford Ambrose of RiverVisions, the interactive software by the amazing folks at Trivium and the steel cutout sculpture by Autodesk. A great and talented team.
