Celebrating Play

Boston Children’s Museum — Playspace (0–5)

Exhibition Concept | Early Learning | Material Exploration

Developed through an intensive design workshop, this concept for a new early childhood Playspace explored how young children learn through movement, touch, and visual discovery. Drawing inspiration from the playful experimentation of the Eames and research into tactile and visual materials, TRACE Design Group contributed interactive concepts rooted in sensory engagement and open-ended play. The fast-paced collaboration emphasized curiosity, scale, and material experience—shaping an environment designed to support exploration, confidence, and joy in the museum’s youngest visitors.
